On the Fringe

So I'm sure many of you have seen this show before now, but one of my friends recently turned me onto the Fox sci-fi series Fringe, and I gotta say, I'm lovin' it!
This show definitely seeps far into that area of "what if" that has been so prevalent in our class discussions. I'm only a few episodes into season 1, but I really wanted to say something about it to you guys. Maybe some of you want to catch it as well if you haven't already. I believe the show just finished up its second season. You can find full episodes on thewb.com. Ohhhh I also JUST discovered that you can watch Pushing Daisies there too. That's sort of sci-fi... anyway, I digress.

Let me know what you think about this show if you've watched it. I already encountered several sci-fi themes that have appeared in other works, including a chemical dream-sharing moment not totally unlike my beloved Inception, haha. I included a YouTube clip of the lead-up to that in the title of this post, just for funsies. Enjoy!

Also, I really like Little Brother. That is all.

I watched the pilot of Fringe and it seemed like it had a lot of potential, but after that I just sort of forgot to keep watching it. Looks and sounds good though. Might have to check it out.
And I love Pushing Daisies! Good to know you can watch it there.

I'm telling you Fringe is just a freaky show. I may get into it with you but it is a little disgusting. The wrinkly old man baby was so gross. How can they show that on regular cable? Yuck. But it is scifi all the way. Heavy influence on both SCIENCE and FICTION. Good mix of the two, if I might add. A lot of times shows/movies/stories that claim to be scifi leave out the science...and it just turns into fantasy.

I remembered something very important.

I remembered where I parked my car.

I think Fringe is sort of the baby of The X Files and House. Love it.

I wanted to give Fringe a shot but it came on at the same time as Supernatural and I could never make myself watch it online. I also have this weird thing where I just can't deal with the Dawson's Creek cast being in other things, so. I did watch Pushing Daisies, but never thought of it as sci-fi; I guess the bright colors distracted me.

I love Fringe! It has some REALLY weird episodes, but the general plot line is great. Can't wait for the new season to start :)

Thank you for mentioning Fringe! I had heard about it at one point and then completely forgot about it. I am looking forward to watching it.
